Endless Bummer

I’m beginning to think this summer is going to suck. All these positions I applied for are already filled. No one’s hiring. At least not hiring me.

A lot of my good friends won’t be or aren’t around. And I’m currently stuck in LA bored out of my mind.

So... that means. If you DO become a journalist. Would you be a freelance one?

only if i got to be a freelance whale. haha kidding aside, no most likely not. and if i were to probably not for a looong while. the thing about freelance is that while you get to write whatever you want your story assignments aren’t ever guaranteed and you have to be constantly proactive and submitting your work. that and be humbled by the fact that you might get your work rejected alot.

There's nothing...

like going to a record store and digging through the shelves and shelves of used albums. Got 2 LP’s and a 45rpm. 1 James Taylor- Greatest Hits, 1 1959- Rock N Roll Era Compilation and 1 Johnny Mathis.

I rode home on my bridgestone commuter/cruiser bike carrying my pack of records under one arm, ray bans on, vans on my feet and hair parted to the side as usual. I looked like something you would’ve find in a TIME magazine, 1954 edition…Or so I was told, by a passerby.
